The Mifne Center for Treatment, Training and Research (since 1987) specializes in the treatment of autism in infancy, according to a unique program for families with infants and toddlers up to the age of two, diagnosed on the autism spectrum or at risk of autism, from Israel and worldwide.
Following a decade-long longitudinal study, the Center developed a screening tool for early detection (ESPASSI ©), which underwent a pilot at The Sourasky Medical Center TLV in 2007-2017, and enables assessment of autism risk in the first year of life.
The significance of detection and treatment in the first year is life-saving in terms of development and quality of life for the child, the family and the community.
